Established in 2015, the ALTA 1874 concept aims to be modern and welcoming, whilst offering high-quality cuisine and service. Since then, we have developed this restaurant to bring you the best of our diverse experiences. Today, Hadrien and his team welcome you all year round!
THE DINING ROOM
When you sit down in our establishment, you will enjoy a warm atmosphere around an industrial decoration combining wood and metal, a ceiling inspired by an opera, graphic arts on the walls, a mix of tables of various heights and Tuscan furniture.
On your plates, you will discover the creativity and expertise of our kitchen team. Guided by a constant quest for quality produce, whilst prioritising short supply chains and local sources, we combine the richness of Swiss produce with the freshness of Mediterranean cuisine.
THE BAR
A friendly and relaxed venue where you can sit on stools or lean against the brushed stainless steel counter whilst enjoying a cocktail, a beer or a glass of wine. In the background, you can watch our team at work and enjoy the view of our semi-open kitchen.
A place for sharing, socialising and meeting people, you can also enjoy our menu at your leisure, whether you’re feeling peckish or ravenous.
THE WINE CELLAR
Glazed and accessible to the public, our wine cellar reflects our personality. Our references are evolving, and our choice of responsible winegrowers who cultivate a terroir and an ethic of respect for nature will allow you to choose from over 40 bottles from Switzerland, Italy and France. If you feel like it, you can come and take a bottle from our cellar, which we will gladly serve you in our establishment.
In addition, we offer a selection of wines by the glass, according to our favourites or discoveries. Our team is at your disposal to advise you on the characteristics of each wine. All our wines are of course available to take away to share a moment of pleasure or to offer a gift to a person close to your heart.
THE TERRACES
Fancy soaking up the invigorating mountain air? Our two terraces are the perfect spot to catch some sunshine whilst enjoying a drink or sharing a meal. On the village side, the atmosphere is shaded and lively all year round, thanks to events unique to ALTA 1874 (live music, an oyster bar, etc.) as well as various performances by local artists on Champéry’s iconic high street.
On the mountain side, the deck will delight your eyes with an unobstructed view of the Dents du Midi, the Dents Blanches and the chalets of Champéry. Intimate and peaceful, it’s the perfect spot to relax whilst enjoying the services of our team.
GROUPS AND COMPANY OUTINGS
Do you have an event to celebrate, a business lunch during your seminar in one of the hotels of the region or a moment to share with your team? We can welcome you with a personalised service.
